What is a Glen Este Middle School Student Ambassador?
A Student Ambassador at Glen Este Middle School is someone that will represent our school positively and help build community within our school. Student Ambassadors are asked to provide new students with an introduction to Glen Este by giving them a tour of the school, helping them with their locker, introducing them to their teachers and providing them with a familiar face on their team.
The Application Process
1.) Pick up an application in the Counseling Office.
2.) Ask one of your teachers to write a recommendation. See the last page. Recommendations must be handed in with the completed application.
3.) Complete your application and return it to the Counseling Office.
The Selection Process
1.) Applications are reviewed and rated based on:
Student Ambassador Responsibilities
Students will serve for one school year. After a review of commitment, your grades, and faculty feedback, ambassador may be invited to serve for an additional year.

The Selection Process

- Turning the application in on time
- Your personal essay
- School participation, attendance and discipline
- Teacher recommendation
Student Ambassador Responsibilities
- Attend all Student Ambassador Meetings.
- Conduct tours of the school and explain various school programs.
- Demonstrate leadership and become a role model for other students.
- Participate in fundraising and service projects (i.e. recycling and giving tree).
- Participate in the orientation of new students to Glen Este Middle School.
- Maintain a C(70) or better average in all classes. If grades drop, then the student will be asked to meet with the counseling staff to determine a probationary period of nine weeks in order to improve grades.
- If there is an extreme behavioral situation, the counseling staff will determine if removal from the Ambassador Program is necessary.
